Positive Displacement Pumps (PD Pumps) are utilized for applications where a constant flow of slurry is required over a desired slurry discharge pressure range. Positive Displacement pumps are normally used to pump abrasive, high viscosity, high solids and large particle size slurries.
Universal Filtration & Pumping Solutions represents 2 types of Positive Displacement Pumps: The Piston Membrane/Diaphragm pump type and Ram Pump type. The Piston Membrane/Diaphragm pump is normally selected when the slurry must be isolated from the pump internals and the Ram type when slurry isolation is not necessarily required.
